Keeping Cats in and scoundrels out

With Cats we mean persons like Biggie

Our house

And the new electric fence

With Tatsie in the background
BTW she has a short stubby tail
Seeing is believing

We have had two cats test the electric fence, neither show signs of doing it again.
Smart Cats or smart electrician?

We have adapted the standard electric fence from an all live fence to a neutral and live for the next wire to take care of the little bodies.

Dessie found a way out under the fucking fence, that have been fixed.

The cats that we did this for is mostly.
Big Boy, Roo-roo, Pushy and Dessi.
They grew up in Zambia and have NO sense of cars or traffic or fuckoll.
Big Boy lived, before he came to us in a place where an ancient Land Rover was started and revved every Saturday, but never moved. Who can blame him for not understanding the violent death that tires bring. To this day he does not budge for a noisy engine.

We LOVE our Cats

Dear John
As you do not even want me to print this invoice because of the environment, how can I possibly pay this.
Let us look at the facts:
You flew 2 little kittens from Zambia to SA and back to Zambia. And then carted them on a 3 hour journey to Robertson and back Cape Town.
And then Mr Wentzel you flew Pushy and Roo- Roo from Zambia to us here, as contracted.
Thank You

But at 8000 km's extra for two cats, do you need the nod.
Not A Fuck.

BEFORE YOU PREACH TO ME, PLEASE CONSIDER YOUR OWN ACTIONS.
Please consider the environment before printing this email
That logo above is pure evil.
I have printed and shredded this email many times and will do so many times more.
Please stop being so fucking clever.
Or I will stop using Eliott's.

Cheers
Nic S
.

BTW I have passed payment, as my last two cats have arrived here.

Reality

Stu asks the questions.
The question was "A farmer's wife keeps chickens and rabbits; together the animals total 100 legs and 40 heads. How many chickens and rabbits does she have?"

Keeskennis supplies the answers.

A fifth way.
The logical 10, 30 split featured for about 1.3768 seconds before reality struck.

Mike
A headless chicken

A two headed chicken

And a two headed rabbit

People with that many mathematical solutions have never tested my reality.

Russia suspends all adoptions to US families

If only this would be true.
If it cannot be troo let Cajun give us some names we could call these peekaboo's, or not.

People that are aware and care should have kids.
Those that do not should have their testicles or ovaries removed after the first child they don't take care of.
And may we happily live ever after.
This all is to be done by ordinance, without the big guns.

I learn new things every day

My latest learning cycle:

Stu posts Military Manuals
I send him and email since the Scot psuedo German does not have a comment service.
It reads:

"Ordinance, I love that word, is extra dangerous weight when you land"

He responds:

"In which case you should be spelling it "ordnance", without the "i" ;-)
Ordnance = ammunition
ordinance = the rule of law.
A dictionary is extra dangerous weight when you write ;-)"

I remark:

"Tue True"

And then add:

"Ammunition" and "the rule of law" is the same.
So an dictionary should be dropped on the enemy before you return to base, with the extra bombs you have.

Heh

Discuss, as they say in the Big dog blogs.

Comments:
psuedo???

presumably (punnily?) you mean 'pseudo' (adj. false, erroneous), which comes from the Greek, together with concepts like corruption, excessive national debt, profligate spending, national bankruptcy etc. for which the rest of the EU (we too) will end up having to pay :-(

And the ordnance? Perhaps from the Latin : ammo, (h)amas, amat... ;-)

One of the disadvantages of thinking that "Ammunition" and "the rule of law" is the same :-

When Worlds COLLIDE

When Rhodesia became Zimbabwe there was a transfer of hard earned wealth from "Zimbabwe" to other countries. I helped with those transfers.

I had a fresh Private Pilots Licence (PPL), 2 months old, and I was contacted by a Rhodie, "Would I fly a single prop Cessna, loaded to the max, from his farm in Zim to his farm in (the then Northern Transvaal) in SA."

"Yes, I will."

I was not worried about the Zimbabwean Air Force as they were 2 years old and I knew that most of the very good Rhodesian Air Force equipment had been stolen or sold, but the SA Air Force was functioning at top level

So the plan was a 19 km or so hop at tree level from the farm in SA to the farm in Zim and back to SA, at night, on ground clearings that was graded and watered down.

Stu will tell you that this is not easy.
Of course there was no radio communications or any responsive beacons used.
Silence, the tone and sound of the engine, that is all.

Loading was done by the farmers and their family that included the trusted black staff.
In three of these missions the entire farm including the workers were relocated to other countries.

I did many, maybe, 15 nights, some had 3 runs both ways.

I'm all right, I missed the trees, just, and I missed the SA radar.
And I saved millions from Mugabe. At the time.

Now it is sad. devastation, for the people who intrepidly or otherwise with no other option than to remain.

I figger I did my bit then, I'm still doing my bit now.
I have a young girl/women in Zambia that We, the Cat's Mother and I are putting and paying for to go thru college. One vote against the EVIL that is socialism.

Fuck socialism, fuck BO.
And specially fuck BHO and his administration and fuck Islam.

I don't write well as all my fingers are amputated (Ed: Bullshit, Whiskypated, if at all), so for the evils of Islam, please read Oom Guy.

Neef Eric has a tale to tell us about a cliff on Adak. Or should that be Adak .....

Who is your Daddy?

Lobster ala Klippies and Coke

This post from the now presumably thin Phat Stu reminded me of my dire youth.

We were camping at a spring near Arniston in the Western cape.
About 2 km from the sea, close to us, there was a blow hole connected to the sea.
The rumour was that monster lobsters lived there.
Sometime during the night I volunteered to be strapped to a line and be lowered down that dark hole whilst wearing some cylinders and having a torch and a spear gun.
No logical limits were set as to depth or time.
A definitive "PULL BACK" was 3 sharp tugs.
The most reliable witness, our hired, non drinking cook, put the time to the "tug" at about 20 minutes and 45 feet.
My personal memory is more like 1 hour 20 minutes and 1 hundred and 45 feet.
Be that as it may.
I arrived unscathed at the surface with a monster lobster attached to my torso and no gun and no torch and a wetsuit full of shit.

As we were discussing were to find a big enough pot to cook that fucker some Professors from UTC arrived and convinced us that 6 cases of beer and 15 medium sized lobsters was good payment for my specimen.

The University of Cape Town (UCT) has it as an exhibit as the biggest in Cape waters.
Show me bigger.

I repeat a previous post.

Just juice - In another moment

75 ml and three cubes of ice.

That is talking and cooking with gas.

Rinse, repeat.

You're mileage may differ.
Klipdrift "Green Label" premium aged brandy.
Not for pussies and wankers, a man's drink, not French.
The aroma of the grape grabs you by the nostril and says LOUDLY, don't fuck with me and add coke, that's why we make the normal Klipdrift.
Stand back and throw away the cork, now throw back the first two tots, now you are PRIMED.
Sit down, relax and shoot the neighbourhood bully.
"Feeling good"
Take two more and smile.
Break all the glasses around, relax and smile.
Content?
4 more in quick succession and you are on top of the world.
Man this is a good drink, even straight out of the bottle it's akin to mothers milk.
Reload and shoot out the streetlamps.
As the cops come to investigate show them the crate of "Greenlabel"
As you are relaxing and drinking with the cops ask for some cases of government issue ammo to practice with later. Store the ammo away from your braai fire.
WARNING:
It is not advisable to send cops home with a lower ratio than 5 cops to 1 bottle of Greenlabel.
If you ignore this, the shit is on your head. I can quote you Hansard on this, just don't do it.
The last two inches of the bottle is exultingly smooth, almost sweet.
Don't rush, relax and fire up your 1000cc motorbike, smile.
Frown at anybody that questions your sensibilities.
Asshole, I said "frown", not "shoot".
Laugh, bury, repeat.
Pull out another cork ......
That is why I normally drink whisky.

Comments:
.... Daddy?..... damn, I swear we have done many of the same things..... remind me to tell you about climbing up that cliff on Adak....

Bureaucratic bureaucrats bureaucratisizing and fucking up

From the Cat's Mother latest news letter.

As a closing note here’s an African “tail” for you: When you transport animals from one African county to another, your animal requires micro chipping and their inoculations have to be up to date (rabies and feline or canine general health shots). So we do all this at great cost I might tell you but we feel upbeat because at least the kitties do not have to go into quarantine unlike the poor doggies. We say goodbye to them and promise that they’ll only be holidaying at the Ndola SPCA for a short while. Right. Our babies arrive caterwauling like the sky is falling in and I greet them and do a head count (you do that all the time when you have seven cats) and low and behold just as I’m saying to Lixie (my grey cat) ‘Gee Lix, you’re looking very dark what’s up babe?’ if two little black strangeings don’t pop their paws out of the travel boxes They sent two black kitties in the place of Mama Roo (ginger) and Pushy (hello, white!). And their multi-paged travel documents could not have been checked once! Not that I cared about that I just freaked OUT. My daughter Ondria to my rescue (she made all the calls and tracked them down – my cel had just died). So the little black cats came on holiday to the Klein Karoo in South Africa whilst their owners were away on holiday – two cat flights and a car journey (including two sleepovers) and back again later just so their owners don’t have a blue cadenza, and my babies arrive next week. Roo takes any disturbance to her peace personally. Last time something was up she ignored me for a month. I am in for some serious cold shoulder and that’s no maybe.

That’s all for now.

Love and light

Cindy

AKA the Cat's Mother

Comments:
Glad to hear that you got things straitened out; to those who have never had pets losing an old friend like that is like losing a family member. Sounds like the government bureaucracy in your country is as bad as ours.

My Cats

My Oldest, Tatsie, have been with me for 15 years and have travelled with me in these 6 moves between 5 countries.

South Africa
Botswana
South Africa
Mozambique
Tanzania
Zambia
South Africa
The latest move cost almost 3000 US $

We, the Cats Mother and I started in Hout Bay in SA with 5 cats, Snoekies, Tatsie and her newborn kittens, Wiley, Liksie and JJ and Minissy
We buried Snoekies and Minissy in Botswana, both died of liver failure.
Back in SA we lost JJ, he went missing while being looked after at a Cat Sitting place.

C'mon you men fess up and post your kitty pictures

The white and ginger boykie is JJ (Just Jinger)
The ginger one is Wiley as in Coyote.
The grey lassie is Liksie as in liquid.

JJ where he is at his prettiest.

Remember real men can do what they goddam like.
I have been an animal lover all my life.
Cats are very dear to me.

JJ is not with us and his brother and sister any more.
He was the one and only that turned the Mother into the Cat's Mother.

Photo's from about 7 years ago in Botswana.

Yes Maeve, they are so pretty.
I hope FC gets it right for you.

Libby they are two brothers and a sister from one litter. Their mother Tatsie is still livingwith us. She must have had a roving eye to produce all those colours.

Carnival of the Cats #142
Update: We didn't want to bury the carnival, so we're putting this here. :). Prayer Circle/Vigil for Luna's Mom and Other Friends in Need Sunday, Dec 10, 2006 (Tonight) 9:00pm EST (World Clock Time Converter) ...
We went to Mazambique with Tatsie and her daughter Liksie while our daughter Ondria looked after Wiley in Cape Town.
In Mozambique we got Babaloo.
We took all four, Tatsie, Liksie, Wiley and Babaloo to Tanzania.
And then we moved on to Zambia with our four.
In Zambia I picked up a stray starving kitten we called Mrs. and then Mr. Sassy.
He was buried in our garden after a Black Mamba bit him.
And then Big Boy started a 7 month campaign that landed him a spot in our house.
He might have fathered Desi and Pushy with Roo-roo.

This is why it is "The Cat's Mother"

When the Cat's Mother takes a nap, the rest of the tribe takes a nap.

Back: Big Boy, Wiley and Liksie
Centre: Dessy
Front: Mama Roo, the mother of Dessy and Pushy

Tatsie the Mother of Liksie and Wiley, weighing in at 14 years.

Again.
Back: Big Boy, Wiley and Liksie
Centre: Dessy
Front: Mama Roo, the mother of Dessy and Pushy

Big Boy and Dessy

Still to be trained, Pushy was out hunting when the others took a nap.

And that is all seven.

The Cat's Mother rules, OK.
We buried Babaloo next to Mr Sassy after cancer took her away from us.

Tat's and me getting old together

That is Tatsie in the background and Babaloo in the fore.
Babaloo is our kitten, she is 3 years old.
She is our Mozambique mongrel and Tanzania is her second country that she have been to.

Tatsie is our old girl, my youngest pumpkin selected her at 4 weeks and she joined us as a 8 week old.
She is now 11 yers old and likes to nod off, like in the picture above.
She has been to South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique and Tanzania.

We have two of Tatsie's children, Wiley and Liksie living with us.

I would like to nod off now, like Tatsie.
In Zambia we linked up Roo-roo with a couple of expats.
She lived in our house on a few occasions when they were on R&R or business trips.
She gave birth to Desi, Pushy and 2 dead kittens on the last stay in our house.
The expats than departed and left Roo-roo and her two kittens to die.
They are now a valued caddition to our household
We also had an affair with a dog called Thumpy, he died.

Our new Puppy - A dog to love

Thumpy or our newest special resting after her left front leg and paw was removed from about 1.5 inches below the elbow
Brave girl.

Showing the Cat's Mothers healing crystals around the pup.

She spent five days without any medical attention until the Cat's/Dog's Mother Intervened

Or love.

She is very brave.
We hope her remaining front leg recovers from some serious trauma.
She is very loved now.

Our seven cats are not won over yet but I know the Cat's Mother better than they do, they will be.
Send some money to your local pet sanctuary right now, OK.

Comments:

Congrats on the new family member. The cats will get over it...

MC

That is what I love about you & the Cat's mother.
Your kind, generous and HUGE loving hearts.

Bless the beasts and the children.
Poor litle guy.
The Cajun is correct, the cats will get over it. Or not. Cats being cats and all.

Bless you and the Cat's Mother, Keesie. That little baby is very, very lucky. Give her a smooch between the ears from me, please.

Thumpy is dead

Bye - Bye to a very brave girl

She died between the 5 O'clock and 6 O'clock feedings.
The Cat's Mother and me are shattered.
We accepted the possibility of her dying.
But when you have that lifeless, still warm, body on your lap, you cry for that fighting spirit that was THUMPY.
I cried.

You will be remembered.

Sela

Let there be music.

Comments:

My condolences on the passing of Thumpy. People who do not have Animal Companions don't know how sweet their presence makes our lives or how painful it is when their short lives end.

GravatarOh, Keesie, I am so, so sorry. Big hugs to you and the Cat's Mother. How lucky Thumpy was to have had such love, if only for a little while.

Blessings on you both, my friend.

GravatarI'm sorry, Keesie! At least the last days were around people who care. Sometimes that's the best we can offer...

Mighty decent of you to try, folks.

MC

GravatarI'm sorry to hear that. Really, I cry with you. And yes, some people cared about him. That's a big deal, I believe.

GravatarI am so sorry for your loss. Bless you both for trying so hard to help Thumpy heal.

GravatarBrotherman, I am so sorry. My condolences. I'm downtown with what my friend Elisson said.

My dog Stretch owns me, not the other way around.

Thankyou for trying...

I am so sorry Kees & Cat's Mum!!
Please take comfort in the fact she knew she was loved unconditionally before she passed over.
Like you & everyone else I hoped for a happier ending.

In the end the fact that we tried is what counts, but at the moment we all wish we had power over death.
You tried, and in doing so made Thumpy's last days much better than if you hadn't tried. In doing so you made the world just a little better.
Sorry for your loss.

I'm still catchingup, so just saw this. I am so so sorry. Thumpy can play with the Beebs and Elvis the yellow Lab and Lucky the black cat. These guys just break your heart, right? We're still sad about Beebs.

But, I'm trying to convince Mr. Froth that we need another pup.
It's probably too soon for you guys.
Hugs.
That makes the seven extra souls in the Keeskennis and the Cat's Mothers lives.
Dead Cats

Catblogging with the Cat's Mother and Tatsie

Homejoy

Remember Tattoo from a few post below?

This is her remaining children from the same litter.
The ginger boytjie is Wiley and his grey sis is Liksie (Liquid)
They had an almost pure white brother that has since left us.

Now you guess the colour of the midnight visitor('s) that spawned a ginger and grey and white kitten with Tatsie.

As all modern and up to date cats do, she had her kittens in a drawer of white linen.
She was 4 years old at the time of her first and last (I made sure of that) litter.
We believed that, because she has had no kittens, that she cant.
Call me stupid..... 4 years !!

The Cat's Mother has been in my life as long as Wiley and Liksie.
They are now spoiled beyond redeption.
