The fun part of English is its double meanings: do the split? or "do" the splitter?
Sometimes it only works in English, too. One time, I was driving past a cemetery in Holland with a Dutch-speaking freind, and I said, "This is where the dead people live." It's funny in English, but not if you translate it mentally into Nederlands.
