English: The precise language

A colleague called me over and showed me this picture on her computer and, pointing to the picture, said "You are too old to do that"

I replied "I'd do that in a flash"

She did not have words to answer.
They probably had to rock her a bit to break the suction, however...
The fun part of English is its double meanings: do the split? or "do" the splitter?

Sometimes it only works in English, too. One time, I was driving past a cemetery in Holland with a Dutch-speaking freind, and I said, "This is where the dead people live." It's funny in English, but not if you translate it mentally into Nederlands.
whoops - that should be "friend."
I know, I love the challenge.
Heh heh heh heh.........
