For the girls
That lighter is just over 3 inches long.
This boykie decided to expire on my stoep last night.
Anybody ready to share some recipes?

Mmmmm! Crunchy! Of course, I live in Florida. Our larva come equipped with fangs and regardless of what you've been told, the tick, not the skeeter, is the state bird!

Yeah, I figured it flew. But beetles generally do.
Cockroaches generally don't. So these here are SPECIAL cockroaches.
Now and then, Florida and Texas - which likes to think it has the Biggest of Everything - have a Biggest Cockroach Contest.
We always win. They prevaricate and bluster and say we stretched 'em out.
Ha! Don't need to.

I never heard of any other pet cockroaches besides the hissing kind.
One thing about your huge giants?
At least they don't fly.

Hawaii has some big roaches that also fly. I remember seeing some thing crawling in the kitchen and I remarked that it was the biggest cockroach I had seen and my mother corrected me by explain that it was a field mouse....yep they are big in Hawaii.

WHAT?!?! So what was it - a mouse or a mouse-sized roach? Yikes!
Now if it flew, it was probably not a mouse.

K---it was a small mouse. But the cockroaches are big there and all of them like to fly directly into your face. You don't dare walk into a dark room without first turning on the lights.
