Alsations
Alsatians are the apex predators of the guard dog world.
If you don't already own one, pop into your local police station and see if there are any on special. Try to get a dog from the drug squad. That way, your security is taken care of and the days of misplacing your stash are over.

Why didn't I think of that. No only would you never lose your own stash but if you run out you can always crash the unconstitutional yet somehow legal random drug sweep at your local public school and resupply from some wayward teenagers...

My old friend Dina was a former drug-trained police dog. She came to live here as a fairly young and totally devoted to her master critter after her master went 86. Took a while to shift her devotion but when she "adopted" me and mine, the book was closed again! Well, except for her habit of waiting patiently by the back door of every cop car she came across! ;o)
One incident kinda fits your recommendation sideways. For many years I had a good friend down here (now moved cross country), fellow ham operator, gardener, electronic hobbyist, raiser of Beagles, that came over to visit most every week. He was totally accepted by Dina and the other sheps in residence by then, just another family member until one Saturday he was having a fit with her. Seems she was trying to take his pants off. Yup, you guessed! He had a bag of pot in his pocket! I laughed until I hurt!

That brings back memories; we used to raise them when I was a kid. We always had several around the place while I was growing up. Over here we call them German Shepherds.
