How many chickens?
Whithout refrigeration meat must be consumed within 20 hours of slaughter.
So all animals are transported live, to the point of slaughter.
That is why we get this.
I have many shots of chicken in cages but none as nice as this one from Piet Visser
I have just recieved permision to use this Photo.
That shows it all doesn't it.

In your country they do it so that you can't see it, and they sell you the meat 2 weeks later.
