Serena Lodge, Serengeti - Number 1 of plenty.
Set in the african bush, this lodge takes your breath away.
Please note that each and every collumn (pillar) is a wooden carving on its own.

Sometimes our mortal minds cannot adjust to all the magic.

In the 1970's when the Sprinboks could still play rugby, I attended a international test between SA and NZ.
As we were entering the LOFTUS VERSVELD stadium I was walking behind two fathers who were with their two young (9-11 yrs) sons.
The boys were very excited and were chattering endlessly.
Just as we entered the final gate to the stadium, one of the fathers said to the boys, "Quiet now and take of your hats, you are in a church now."
I think we won.
Here I wanted the people to be quiet and remove their headgear.
