If I show you mine will you show me yours?

Pork Chops and faint memory

This is the pork chops I had tonight.
That is a standard fork and a standard pack of twenty.
Mash, carrots, beans and gravy - drool.

Faint memory question.
1) In which book by which author is it fatal to keep all your old newspapers.
2) In which book by which author (a) do you lose your yob if you are out (b) by how many degrees on presenting shaving water.(Ok you english speakers out there, where do you put the QUESTION MARKS).

Of course English majors should fly this.

Hey chaps this was long ago.

Below the fold, is far to advanced for this old coot.

I will place the answers in comments
Comments:
1) BROTHERS KARAMAZOV by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky
2) Fahrenheit eighty-four instead of Fahrenheit eighty-six for shaving water – Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne
