Rooikat - Caracal
It derives it's name rooikat = redcat from the reddish colour.
The Cat's Mother and the Pumpkin's will rather eat peri peri by the spoonful than listen to any of my hunting stories.
On this one I can say.
I have never, despite repeated attemps, managed to shoot a rooikat.
They are very fast and mostly nocturnal.
I don't hunt anymore.
BTW it is not close family to the lynx
